Honorable Judge Dr. Adel Koura

Dr. Adel is a former President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation. He obtained his LL.B. and Master’s degree from Cairo University. In 1973, he obtained his Ph.D. from Roma University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration.
Dr. Adel served as Presiding Arbitrator and Party Appointed Arbitrator in numerous arbitration cases. Prior to joining the Court of Cassation, he was the Assistant of the Minister of Justice in Egypt and Kuwait.
Dr. Adel participated in drafting several laws, including but not limited to: the Egyptian Arbitration Law No. 27 of year 1994, the Egyptian Commercial Law No. 17 of year 1999, Human Organs Transfer Law No. 5 of year 0202.
He is a former Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law at Assiut University and the University of Annaba in Algeria.
