Hanan Badawy
Associate
Hanan holds an LL.B. from Cairo University and had completed the Practical Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Ain Shams University in 2022.
Moreover, Hanan had completed the Comparative Commercial Arbitration: The Theory and the Practice (CCATP) course offered by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Currently, She is an Associate in the Arbitration Department at Amr & Partners Law Firm where She had worked on various national and international disputes under the auspices of different arbitration centers in the Middle East (ADCCAC, CRCICA, and DIAC). Such disputes were consequently governed by different laws of the Middle Eastern states, e.g., Egyptian and the United Arab Emirates (both Dubai and Abu Dhabi), which has widened my scope of experience to encompass different jurisdictions and exposed her to how different arbitration centers operate and how their rules differ. The matters in dispute in such cases were, inter alia, banking (escrow agreements), construction (general and FIDIC-based contracts), distribution, manufacturing and maintenance, shareholder’s agreements, and oil and gas. In her constant search for development and growth, She had attended multiple conferences and seminars organized by various organizations like CRCICA, CIArb, SCCA, and others, with the most recent being the Fourth Arab Arbitration Conference organized by the International Academy of Mediation and Arbitration (IAMA) focusing on the theme of “Empowerment and localization”. She is proficient in three languages, namely, Arabic, English and French. As for Arabic, it is her mother tongue, similarly, her French is also excellent, and She has a professional grasp of English enabling her to work in any of the three languages.
